Walking Festival Or Walking Holiday??

Walking Festival or Walking Holiday that is the question?

We don't want to take anything away from walking holidays as they are a fantastic way to visit new areas with knowledgeable and excellent guides but we would like to give you an alternative.

We now have at least 165 walking festivals throughout the UK and Ireland. These walking events are a great way to visit new parts of the country and walk with people who know the best walks and know about the area - the wildlife, history and best pubs(personal favourite), and the best bit is most walking festivals are non-profit and the walks are usually a small amount of money.

Nearly all the walking festivals we have visited or reviewed have several walks a day so can choose which level and how long you would like to walk for. There are walks covering all sorts of interests - wild food walks, historical buildings, walks aimed at children, hard strenuous challenges or just gentle strolls, there are walks for everyone.

Walking holidays in the UK and Ireland can cost hundreds of £'s but if you use our website you can quickly search and find walking festivals and soon we will have all the accommodation associated with each walking festival.

If you find yourself a good bed and breakfast, hotel or pub to stay in and book yourself onto a few walks and evening events you are getting an excellent walking holiday for a very reasonable price.

Please tell us if you use walking festivals as a holiday and any other experiences of walking festival you may have had - come on share!!

Find your walking festival and turn it into a walking holiday.
